Ultimate Basement Transformation
When David McLees', home audio system didn't sound nearly as crisp as it should have, and the bass from his subwoofer didn't quite hit his chest hard enough, he called Acoustical Solutions, Inc. The Indiana man found a solution in the form of acoustical panels that not only worked perfectly for excess sound absorption, but also for the appearance and style of his space.
Application Introduction
5.1 surround sound systems aren't much use when explosions sound like firecrackers in a gym and bass bounces off of three walls before it has a chance to thump chests. David McLees, however, was experiencing this exact sensation in 2008 with his home sound system.
"The room is a long box with plaster walls and ceiling," explained the Indiana resident. "It works perfect as an echo chamber."
The smooth parallel walls in David's room bounced sound back and forth raising the reverberation time and creating a flutter echo.
Treatment Provided
David immediately found both an acoustical and an aesthetic solution for his home audio needs when he contacted Acoustical Solutions.
He chose The Commonwealth Collection™ fabric-wrapped sound wall panels (pictured) for his home.
The Commonwealth Collection™ offers a combination of sound control and decorative accents that will enhance both the look and sound quality of any space including homes, offices, conference rooms, hotels, recording studios, universities and more.
This collection includes 13 acoustical wall panel designs and three corner bass trap designs available in a total of 239 different fabric choices.
Results
The results sometimes speak for themselves:
With the acoustical panels in place there is no more echo! Everything sounds great! The added benefit of using your product is the design possibilities. The acoustical panels don't just correct the sound, they also complete the design and make the room look amazing!
