Custom Steel Acoustical Door Installation

The system includes : #564 threshold, #770 adjustable head and jamb seal, #119WB spring bronze head and jamb, #367 automatic door bottom, and #950 cam lift hinge (or other ZERO hinges type). #383 (or #139) astragal is included on pairs.

Custom Acoustical Steel Door Installation

HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Door should be hung on hinges ( #950 or other type)
accordingly.

2. Install the #564 threshold to suit floor condition. Caulk on the bottom and around the jamb as needed.

3. Close the door and measure the frame opening.
Install the #770 (trim as necessary), head piece first.
Place the piece against the face of door, making gentle
contact between the "rubber extrusion" seal and the door. Fasten in place.

Place hinge side piece against the face of door, making gentle contact between the "rubber extrusion" seal and the door. Fasten in place.

Place lock side piece against the face of door, making gentle contact between the "rubber extrusion" seal and
the door. Fasten in place.

4. Install the #119WB, head piece first, then hinge side,
and finally lock side using the pressure sensitive tape to fasten the spring bronze to the frame.

5. Install the #367 automatic door bottom. Cut the automatic door bottom to fit between the #770 gasketing previously installed on the jambs, (see trimming instructions supplied with the automatic door bottoms).

Fasten the #367 so that there will be a space of 3/8" between the top of the #564 threshold and the bottom of #367 automatic door bottom.

Adjust the door bottom as required by turning the adjustment screw for the proper seal.

6. Adjust the #770 with the adjustment screws for the desired seal and operation of the door.

7. On pairs of doors, install the astragal (#383 or #139) . The astragal should be fastened on the pull side of the active door.

8. Check operation of door after each piece of material is installed to make sure that no binding is taking place.
