At the local steel plant it gets a bit hot and noisy. Scraps of steel enter on one side of the plant and come out as steel beams on the other—it’s a very interesting process! Unfortunately for anyone who works there, it’s also an incredibly noisy process.(more)

I have a customer who lives in Hong Kong and could hear his neighbor through the block wall in his bedroom. It was keeping him awake at night, so I sold him a case of Green Glue and some SoundSeal Caulk to add a new layer of drywall and reduce the noise. I asked him how well it worked a day or so after he had installed it and he told me that it had reduced the sound somewhat, but not as much as he had hoped. I heard from him a month later and he told me that he is sleeping well and the wall has done its job. Green Glue gets better as it dries longer...
