AudioSeal™ Sound Barrier Installation

 

STANDARD 16" O.C. WALL CONSTRUCTION

Step 1:
Start at framing construction and pack cavities with standard fiberglass insulation in between studs.

 

Step 2:

Roll out AudioSeal Sound barrier and cut to desired length. Attach barrier to wood studs with a staple gun. If using metal studs attach with self tapping screws and washers.

Step 3:
Caulk the seams where the AudioSeal Sound Barrier meets or adjoins. Caulk the entire perimeter of the wall as well as any cutouts in the barrier for outlets, light switches, etc.
*Recommended caulk is Acoustical Solutions Soundseal Caulk

Step 4:
Finish off wall with drywall. Attach the drywall with standard drywall screws being driven through both the drywall and AudioSeal Sound Barrier directly into the studs.

Step 1:
