Application Introduction

All Aboard Learning Center is a child development center with over 100 children participating in their programs. As Director of the program, noise control was definitely a concern of Janell Cheek.

The brand new facility had only been opened for one year and the center had been running and full capacity!

The felicity had a huge playroom for the children to run, jump and play on riding toys during inclement weather.

The children love the "big room," but the problem was how to control the echo of the children's voices so the room didn't seem "out of control."

 

Treatment Provided

After searching the Internet, Janell Cheek found the Acoustical Solutions, Inc. website. After an free initial consultation over the phone, a reverberation test was done on the room and within days Acoustical Solutions, Inc. proposed an estimate of how many AlphaSorb acoustical wall panels we would need to achieve the sound control that Janell desired. Janell said the decision was easily made because "We were offered an affordable rate, and the panels are worth every dollar!"

Quantitative Results

Within weeks after the installation of the acoustical treatment, Janell wrote us to say "Wow! What a difference they have made! Now our children love to play in the "big room" and the teachers have noticed an improvement in the children's behavior as the noise abatement has decreased the aggressive play significantly. Parents have commented that they notice the difference in the noise level as well, and they appreciate the sound panels, too.
