Acoustical window inserts are non-operable, add-on window inserts designed to reduce noise through your existing window. Our noise reducing window seals use an insert track that is designed to accommodate a ¼” thickness glass or acrylic. By mounting the additional pane of glass, or acrylic into our window seal track system, you create a dead space, which drastically decreases the level of sound that leaks through the existing window. The more distance you have between the existing window and our acoustical window seal insert the better results you will achieve. The window seal track is factory cut to custom sizes with mitered corners, and mounting screws (provided) to secure the system to or around your existing window frame.

Acoustic window seals are available in a standard aluminum finish or a dark brown anodized finish. The track system features a snap-on cover to hide any screw holes.

For best results, use ¼” thickness laminated glass. You can also use a ¼” thickness acrylic window. Both are available through local hardware stores or glass shops.

  • For your acoustic window seals, 1) Do they go on all four sides of the window? 2)How do the corners of the window meet so there is no gap?

    Adrian Rosen -

    9 Positive

  • Adrian - The seals are installed on all four sides of the window.  The corners are mitered so the seal fits together without a gap.

  • More questions.. 1) How do the seals attach to the frame of the window? 2) Is 1/4" the only option for glass thickness?

    Adrian Rosen -

    0 Positive

  • Adrian - The seals attach to the frame of the window with screws.  1/4-inch is the type of glass we recommend, and just to be clear, we recommend Plexiglass.  If your interested in discussing options for other glass thicknesses, please contact a memeber of our sales deparment at 800.782.5742.
