There are many situations where noise such as human voices and fan noise will be transmitted through standard duct work that do not require a duct silencer. In these instances we can reduce noise that is traveling through the duct by simply replacing a section of the existing duct work with our SoundVAC™ Acoustical Duct.
Constructed from one ply perforated and corrugated aluminum with interlocking seams and folded flat for flexibility, the duct is completely wrapped with a blanket of 1 ½" thick fiberglass insulation with a metalized facing.
Acoustical Duct provides sound reduction in all low pressure system uses. It is basically a flexible core of single ply aluminum that has been perforated, then wrapped with fiberglass and covered with an outer metalized polyester vapor barrier.
These SoundVAC™ Acoustical Ducts are available in standard 10 ‘ long sections and are size according to your existing ducts ranging from 4" up to 14".
