Vibration Isolation Pads are high grade neoprene or rubber isolation mediums which can efficiently and economically control structure-born noise and resonant vibration.

The most common applications have them placed under machinery, grinders, compressors, metal panel enclosures or other common sources of high intensity noise levels for vibration and shock control.

Acoustical Solutions offers four types of Isolation Pads. The standard isolation pad comes in a 2'x 2' x ¼" thick neoprene pad with a 40 PSI (Pound Per Square Inch) rating. The Medium Vibration Isolation Pad is a 18" x 18" x 3/8" thick pad with a 45 PSI rating. The Heavy Duty Vibration Isolation Pad is 18"x 18" x ¾" thick with a 45 PSI rating. The Cork and Rubber Combo Pad is 18" x 18" x 3/4" thick with a 50 PSI rating.

  • Jenny - The mats work best on smooth, flat surfaces.  If the flat surface is hard, the mat will work.  If you have another smooth mat to add beneath this one, however, it will increase the effectiveness because you are adding more isolation.

  • Vibration Isolation Pad: 24" x 24" stacking clothes washer and dryer. Washer vibrates with slightly heavier load of clothing. Presently, sits on 3/8" plywood sheet. Floor is real wood. Rafters are wood. Should I place an isolation pad inbetween two sheets of plywood and set the stacking washer dryer on top of the plywood? Would your isolation mounts be an added advantage?

TB Brill - Ruby Red Dentata, LLC

  • TB,

For your washer, I think an isolation pad would be sufficient. You can place the pad on top of the plywood, and the washer directly on top of the pad.

  • Would one of these work if I put it under an ariel gas compressor? I am looking for something very sturdy that I won't have to replace very often.

    Hi David,

These isolation pads would work for your application, but pay attention to the PSI rating for each pad. Depending on the weight of the compressor, you will need to choose an appropriate isolation pad (ratings go up to 50 psi). Another option is our neoprene isolation mounts, which are available up to 600lbs per mount ( Call for pricing on these: 1-800-782-5742

  • Which pad would be best for a milling machine that weighs about 1,000 lbs and has 3 inch diameter feet?

  • Hi Mike,

I would recommend the cork combo pads, which have the highest PSI rating of 50.

  • I am looking for something to place under my furniture (like bed posts and chair legs) to block bass from adjacent apartments from traveling up furniture. And I'm looking for something to give my neighbors to place under their sound systems.

  • Hi Antonia,

Our vibration isolation pads would work for you, or you can use our isolation cups under the bed posts, etc. For your neighbor's sound system you can use either isolation pads or our studio monitor isolators depending on the type of equipment Please call in if you have any more questions: 800 782 5742

  • Can these isolation pads be cut easily and neatly to place a square to surround the mounting plates, bolts under a set of pumps used for pool/spas...and also a hyrdaulic platform (180 lb.) unit for endless swim machine?

    Tim Gordon - Gordon Design

    31 Positive

  • Hi Tim,

These isolation pads can be cut very easily and neatly! Take a look at our data sheet to see an example:

And the pads can also very easily handle equipment that weighs 180 lbs. Depending on the model you choose, the pad can sustain 40-50 lbs per square inch.

  • I need something to dampen the vibration on an old motor/blower combination for our church organ. Would you recommend the pad or isolation mounts. I estimate teh weight of the skid at about 200 pounds. See attached image. Thanks

  • Hi Jim,

At only 200 pounds, I would recommend the Vibration Isolation Pad for your piece of equipment. Please give us a call if you have any other questions: 800 782 5742

  • Do you have something that will work outdoors under an HVAC compressor to eliminate vibration. I am looking for something that will be vulcanized to protect against climate as well as being able to eliminate the vibration and humming from AC compressors on a cantilevered 2nd floor support roof.

Frank Morse - Morse Homes Inc

  • Hello Frank, we do not have these listed on our website, but we do have Restrained Isolation Spring Mounts that would work for your application. I would just need to know a little more information regarding the compressor you are trying to isolate (weight, size, number of mounting points, etc.) and then I can get you the right product with pricing and availability. Please feel free to call me with any additional questions. I would be happy to talk you through your noise issue and offer any possible solutions: 804-349-0041
