Our Automatic Door Bottom sweeps utilize a concealed flat spring mechanism, which activates when the door is closed, lowering a neoprene seal insert against the floor or saddle.

The frame compresses a protruding, hinge-side "plunger" as the door closes to activate the spring. The automatic door bottom then drops a seal in a scissors-like motion from the hinge side, adjusting to the floor from a pivoting point.

As the neoprene seal compresses, it forms a tight, secure seal against the saddle or floor. The sweep retracts automatically as the door is opened.

Our Automatic Door Bottoms can be made to fit any sized door and we offer a flush mounted unit, as well as a mortised and semi-mortised version. The automatic door bottoms come in aluminum, dark bronze anodized and gold anodized finishes.

All door hardware can be factory cut to size at no additional charge. Automatic door bottoms can be field cut up to 2½" in length. Please specify sizes when ordering.
