QuietSeal Acoustical Sealant

 

QuietSeal is a non-hardening, non-skinning one-component butyl sealant engineered for acoustical isolation in partitions. QuietSeal can be applied to drywall, concrete, plaster, steel, wood and aluminum surfaces without priming.

Typical Use

To achieve specified Sound Transmission Class values (STC) in drywall and plaster wall systems by sealing perimeter joints and openings in partitions and by bedding electrical outlets and switch boxes set in acoustical panels.

Application

QuietSeal extrudes easily at normal working temperatures by hand or power gun and will adhere well to all clean concrete, gypsum, plaster, steel, wood and aluminum surfaces without priming. QuietSeal is highly resilient and can therefore withstand any amount of movement normally encountered in partitions.
